Had a wonderful 2 nights here after Xmas to see an event at the Pavilion. Located perfectly for such. The Hotel is clean and great value, and the Breakfasts were very good. - Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay here 2rooms 4 people The Hotel is spotless top to bottom Lovely friendly staff Breakfasts were fantastic and cooked to individual choice, very good scrammbled eggs sausage bacon, full English looked good for our friends and wife Great cold selection Great location Loved the huge choice of malts in the bar We got caught with the storm but that's at God's will not the hosts We will definitely be back in the New year

Fantastic family run hotel. Toby and his family have made great improvements year on year. It's a lovely place to stay with spotless, comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast, free parking and a relaxing lounge if you need it. The town centre is a short walk away either by road or a bit longer should you fancy a walk down the cliff path and along the beautiful beach. Highly recommended anytime of year. Already booked our next stay!

Stayed in this B&B for the first time, room was clean but a bit basic only one bedside table, otherside of bed was a wooden picnic table with tea, coffee ect, wall lights above bed instead of bedside lamps, bed was extremely uncomfortable poor matteress not good value for what we paid. Clean linen and towels but bathroom dated. We really enjoyed the breakfasts, plenty to eat and service was excellent and quick, no waiting. Well situated, easy parking. Visitors lounge was well stocked but no atmosphere at all, shame really as staff and service was excellent. Not sure we would return.

we were welcomed by toby, the owner/manager, all is thought of , excellent service, 'yes' to every question, clean, tidy and nice breakfast, our room great view to the sea, geniune care to maximise our time , the rooms have useful info and contact details, plan the next day , having had the choice to five hotels, our spur of the moment to go for a stay away, truly glad to have entered that postcode into the tom tom, whitby is a friendly 'port of call', every where does not dissapoint, no doubt all the hotels have such levels to make our stay a happy experience, we with first hand knowledge to the Wheeldale Hotel can give 11 out of ten to toby and his team , thanks again whreely good! ruth and john;

We have just finished a four day break at the wheeldale and we couldn't be more satisfied the room we had room 6 was a split level with brilliant views of the beach and sea and the breakfast was second to none the owners and staff were very helpful and pleasant and with free parking what more do you need

Very nice friendly people, rooms clean and tidy, breakfast nice and well presented. Excellent position near sea front and close to town. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to stay in Whitby. Also reasonably priced too.

Such a great place. The location is fab with costal walks in either direction. We had room 3 with the lush bay window and beautiful sea views. Not a huge room but enough space for 2! The staff are amazing, super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Just come back from a one night stay at the Wheeldale. Lovely and clean, room very nice even a jacuzzi bath! Everyone friendly and helpful. Great location. Would recommend.

What a fantastic find this hotel is rooms spacious clean and very equipped with amazing sea views and a pleasant short walk into town, the bed was really comfortable with a great nights sleep and then to breakfast and very good full English all cooked to order with local bacon and sausages and free rage local eggs hot toast with plenty of juice, tea and coffee to enjoy my partner who is gluten free had a bacon sandwich with gf bread and thoroughly enjoyed we will be back again Thankyou one and all

Stayed for the night with my partner, I absolutely would stay again the room was lovely. We stayed in room 11 and I definitely would recommend! Breakfast was also great the staff were very welcoming. 10/10!

A lovely hotel by the beach, free parking,excellent service

Stayed at the Wheeldale for a weekend away,parking was free at hotel but very cramped so we opted to park opposite hotel £2 for 2days.We had room 8 on top floor with great sea views and plenty of room,the hotel is a 10 minute walk from town centre which suited us fine.The breakfast was very good cereal, toast and a full English if you wanted it washed down with a pot of tea We would stay there again without hesitation due to its excellent location and service.

We spent a weekend here. Lovely clean room and comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. Just a bit of a walk to town if you don't have a car. Would go again.

Staff friendly .sea view room was lovely, small but had everything that one needed. Bed was comfy . Large shower,tea/ coffee making facilities. Breakfast was lovely. Location was good only 10 minute walk into town centre. The beach was a two minute walk. Hotel comes with parking on premises and parking on opposite side of road in disc zone. The hotel provide a ticket for £1 for two days parking. Definitely would recommend. We have stayed here before and will use again.

Great B & B, bedrooms on 3 floors, if you can't manage stairs you need a ground floor room. Very nice Yorkshire breakfast. I gave 4 stars for location because it's up a hill from town centre. We walked down and got a cab back cost £6. There's a great sea view from hotel.

We had an enjoyable stay. Staff were friendly and the room was spotless and well equipped. Parking can be a challenge during peak holiday weeks but we survived.

Excellent location, spacious very clean rooms. The best night's sleep as the mattress was so so comfortable. Friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Would definitely return.

Great location and lovely room with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The communal lounge was also useful to dry off if (like me) you get caught in the rain! The room was spacious and well equipped, the breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold options and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was so quiet and I slept so soundly, would definitely stay here again.

A great hotel run by a lovely family. Have stayed here on 3 occasions now. Beautiful sea views from certain rooms and even if your room doesn’t face the sea, all you need do is take a seat out on the cliff top benches and admire the view. If you’re a cricket fan you could choose a room overlooking the cricket pitch at the back and catch a game. Home cooked breakfast every morning with fresh produce is incredible and sets you up for the day. Bright, airy rooms with fresh linen and towels and only a short walk away from everything Whitby has to offer. Will undoubtedly be back again. Toby, Rebecca and Jenna continue to do an incredible job after what has been a tough time for them. I wish them all the success in the world.
